December Newsletter

Hello Everyone,

Happy Yuletide from here in the North and I hope you are looking forward to a nice holiday where you are.

Here is my little round up for the year. I am going to go back to monthly newsletters as my 2024 diary is pretty full. I need to pull it together in one place again.

Big thank yous for your support this year.

I am showing my work in several galleries over the winter season as follows-
It is always a pleasure to show at the
Gallery Heinzel Winter Exhibition. the show continues until 17th of February.

I also have a new gallery in Buckingham-shire this year. The wonderful Obsidian Arts has one piece left in their winter show.  “The Six Swans” is from the “Faery Tail Oracle” by author Scott Alexander King. The exhibition continues until 31st of December.

“Indomitable Spirit” curated by Aunia Kahn for The Curio Gallery in Portugal is on until the 31st of December too. My new piece “
Airmed” is also part of an exciting new deck project (more details below).

The lovely
Elemental Crystals has a trio of originals from my Tarot Deck. Joss also carries my decks and greeting cards. Please visit or ask via the Facebook Page.

I also want to thank
The Milton Gallery and Country Frames Gallery for carrying my prints and cards this year.

Deck News

My big news is that “Universal Folk Tarot” is almost here. The release is January 2024. Pre-order is now open at US Games (if you are in the US) before it rolls out worldwide.

If you are new to tarot or want to explore my version of the classic Rider Waite Smith system then it should fit beginners and experienced readers alike.

I am very excited for you to meet it. My own pre order will be open in January if you prefer a signed copy.

I have most of the available art from the deck listed now in fine art prints or originals (originals are custom framed to a high standard and are larger pieces so do ask if you want to reserve on a plan.

I still have a handful of Universal Folk Oracle this winter, signed with a personal message. My next restock will be alongside the Tarot shipment.

2024 also sees two new releases from Animal Dreaming Publishing. I have the awaited “Fairy Tails Oracle” authored by Scott Alexander King (thank you for your patience, Scott had an eye operation during the creation which held it up a little) and I am so excited to present a new Messages Deck called “Milk Thistle Moon”.

This inspirational deck will include a daily message, talisman suggestion and affirmation. I carefully curated and edited 70 of my artworks for this deck. I will keep you updated on both. This can be preordered here.

I also signed off on a new deck for Blue Angel Publishing. I am so excited to share more news soon. I will be exploring mythology from the British Isles and “outlands”.

I will be creating alongside The Midnight Garden (my bird themed oracle) over the next two years.

To get behind the scenes news, works in progress etc. on my decks please join our group Starling Grove on Facebook, I share the group with fellow artist and deck creator Tammy Wampler.

New Winter Works

Themes of Journeying, Pilgrimage to Ancient Sites and the Cailleach were on my mind. I have updated Originals on my website to include these ones. You can read more about them in my shop. I also have a very large Cailleach piece on my drawing board. Other things keep pulling my attention but I do hope to finish her by Springtime.

What Else Is Coming For The New Year?

I have a lot of show works to get started on for the New Year with bookings all through the year including a gallery feature and a week long pop up shop. I have had to take a step back from curation to concentrate on my own work but there will be two shows via The Inverarity Gallery next year. I‘m looking forward to planning those soon.

The art collective I am in, The Bad Apples Artist Collective, will continue with the popular Facebook auctions and other events. Our January Auction theme is Year of the Dragon and starts 28th of January here. I am looking forward to adding to my Zodiac for this one.

Thank you if you got to the end and I am looking forward to a creative year. I hope 2024 comes with ease for us all.
